Pediatric Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Implant and Cosmetic Dentistry

Dr. Sara Rashedi is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In 2004, Dr. Sara received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania. Following this, she attended Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown where she completed a one-year General Practice residency. Dr. Sara then went on to complete a Master’s of Public Health degree and a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Sara is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania. She teaches dental students the skills necessary for improving and maintaining the health of infants, children, adolescents and children with special needs. She also maintains an affiliation with the University of Pittsburgh in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Sara is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association and Pennsylvania Dental Association.

Dr. Sara is committed to continuing her education so she can offer her pediatric patients the most technologically advanced yet personalized care possible. She participates in numerous continuing education courses to stay up-to-date on the latest research and newest technologies in dentistry.

Sara Rashedi

Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Behnoush Rashedi received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine and Master's in Education in 1998 from the University of Pennsylvania. Following this, she attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received her prosthodontic specialty training and Master's in Science degree in 2001. In 2007, she became board-eligible by the American Board of Prosthodontics.

For six years, Dr. Rashedi taught full-time and served as the Director of Removable Prosthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. In addition, she maintained a private practice in the university practicing all aspects of prosthodontics. Dr. Rashedi has published numerous research manuscripts that have been published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and the Journal of Prosthodontics. In 2007, Dr. Rashedi opened her own private prosthodontic practice and began teaching part-time as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania. She has been an active member of the American College of Prosthodontists and the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontists.

Dentistry and prosthodontics are rapidly changing. Dr. Rashedi is committed to continuing her education so she can offer her patients the most modern yet personalized care possible. She participates in numerous continuing education courses to stay up-to-date on the latest research and newest
technologies in dentistry. She also has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally to provide education to others.
