pediatric dentistry | first visit
what to expectWe understand that a visit to the pediatric dentist may make you and your child uneasy. To calm your fears, we have created a peaceful and friendly environment where you and your family will feel welcome, comfortable, and safe. We invite you to be present in the treatment room with your child during the first visits to our practice.
On your child's first visit to our office, we review the child's medical and dental history, take any necessary x-rays, perform a cleaning and fluoride treatment, and discuss your child's present dental needs along with any recommended treatment. We also review with you and your child good toothbrushing and flossing habits and discuss healthy food choices that help fight tooth decay. |

“Dr. Sara is simply fantastic. The way she interacts with my son is incredible, and he loves going to the dentist. He talks about her throughout the year and looks forward to his visits because she treats him well and makes him feel special. She even ordered special treasure chest toys for him when he mentioned he liked them, and she remembered to point it out on his visit 6 months later. To a 6-year-old, that's gold. We originally came to Oaks Dental Specialists to take care of some dental issues he had that our family (and much closer to home) dentist couldn't accommodate, and even though these were some very scary appointments for a little boy, Dr. Sara had him giggling and smiling and not scared to return. Needless to say, Oaks Dental Specialists is his new dentist.” - Jacob B's mom |
